It has been a busy week for me... and it makes me wonder... how come come people are so free to blog everyday? Time management is important then...

But then the question here is, LOVE? POWER? or MONEY? is more important in this world nowadays? You are being busy daily for what purpose? One of the above should fit in I guess. Share with me then...

hahaha when i read this i can imagine you thinking about how often i blog =P

i don't believe any of the above should be the most important. well except for LOVE. Love for God and for God's people and for people who haven't heard of his wonderful grace. That should be our purpose in life. To be fishers of men.

A talk I heard really shows us how stupid we are in the world. People who chase after money or power are like people who try to bank snow. Snow is a good thing, but you would never go to the bank to try and "invest" snow. cos it'll melt. likewise, people in this world try and invest their time, and whole life into something that will just melt. this world will fade away one day and when we face God, we should be proud about the life we lived, that we didn't live for this world, but for eternity in heaven.

So meaning to say you think Love is enough in our life as Christian? Love complete all human beings, no doubt about that, but don't you think we do need power and money too? Without power, do you think we can spread christianity to everyone around the world? There are some places where "power" is being use to force people to believe or take something that is not what they want or believe?

Without money, do you think gospel can be spread to every corner of the world?

Do you agree that Power and Money is also gift from God? As long as we're not too much into these two (not too greedy or selfish), then it's ok to "go after" these two?

well i was talking about the MOST important. of course we need money, of course we need food etc etc.

yes all things come from God, incl money and power but i don't agree with ppl (not saying you) who use God as an excuse. lots of ppl say they will be rich so they can give back to God. realistically how many actually do what they say?

i know a great family at church who is wealthy, gives generously and serves in church. i have no issues with that. i do have issues however with ppl who say they will give it away and instead you see that they have ferraris and porsches and lots of investment property, never go to bible study cos they're too busy working.

is it really necessary to have all those things for ministry's sake? in fact it's a hindrance because other people will look at you and say "you have no idea what suffering is"

money is a good thing. it's good to earn money now so you can go into bible college or support missionaries, but i think the test is will you actually do it? are you actually not sucked into the beauty of money already? are you already generous in giving?

a look at the statistics of an average sunday at our church tells me that people still hold on to money. on average people give $12 a week. and this is taking into consideration that approx half of the adults don't work and taking kids out. and keep in mind some people are more generous than others. are you telling me that australians on average earn $120/week?

i think too many ppl are like the rich young fool (matthew 19:16-30). the issue here is not about money. we all know money in itself is not bad. the issue is that he cannot let go of it.

a good challenge is to ask ourselves whether we could really let go of it if God asked us to. and what we use our money for. self? or really for God?

and if we can't be generous now while we're not that rich, there's no way we'll be generous later on.

and finally i think people forget that we really don't need money and power to spread God's word. imagine if suddenly there was a disaster, stockmarkets crashed, etc etc, all your money is gone, and the rich are no longer rich (i.e. they lose power). at the end of the day, you can spread God's word to the people around you, with no money or power. at the end of the day it's love for them that you need, enough love to tell them that if they don't turn to God, they are headed for hell.
